At Himalayan Tight Lines, safety is our highest priority. While our passion lies in fishing and exploring the wilderness, we understand that the powerful Himalayan rivers can be unpredictable and demanding.

Our entire team is trained in river safety, risk management, and emergency response procedures. All guests are required to wear approved helmets and personal flotation devices (PFDs) while on the water. To further enhance safety, experienced safety kayakers accompany our expeditions whenever conditions require.

In the event of a serious emergency, our team is equipped with satellite communication devices to coordinate medical evacuation and emergency assistance from remote locations. Through careful planning, professional training, and strict safety protocols, we strive to provide every guest with a safe and enjoyable wilderness experience.

Our team has over two decades of experience, skilled in navigating challenging Himalayan rivers and providing exceptional service in remote wilderness conditions.

Himalayan Tight Lines was founded by passionate anglers who have spent years exploring the remote rivers of the Himalayas. Our commitment extends beyond fishing—we are dedicated to the long-term conservation of the iconic Golden Mahseer.

We actively promote responsible catch-and-release practices and work to demonstrate the ecological and economic value of preserving healthy fish populations. We believe that sustainable tourism and local employment are among the most effective tools for conservation.

Local communities play an important role in our expeditions. By participating in our trips, local residents gain opportunities to witness modern catch-and-release angling firsthand while sharing their own traditional river knowledge and skills. Their expertise, including the use of traditional cast nets for sourcing live bait where permitted, adds valuable cultural depth to the expedition experience. Our long-term goal is to support conservation efforts by understanding the challenges faced by local communities and helping create sustainable alternatives that reduce pressure on wild Golden Mahseer populations while benefiting the people who live alongside these remarkable rivers.

Many of our expeditions are fully supported multi-day floating journeys through some of the most remote and untouched landscapes in the Himalayas.

As we travel downstream, camps are regularly relocated to new wilderness locations, requiring extensive logistical planning and coordination. Our experienced team manages all transportation, camp setup, safety equipment, meals, and expedition logistics, allowing guests to focus entirely on the adventure.

From remote river access and camp operations to daily route planning, every aspect of the expedition is carefully organized to ensure a seamless and unforgettable experience in the heart of the Himalayas.
